The master CYXAC provides advanced training in historical/documentary and material research focused on the Conservation and Exhibition of Contemporary Art.
In recent years, different professions connected with artistic and cultural diffusion, have multiplied not only in the Basque Country but in the national territory too, as evidenced by the long list of museums and institutions related to Contemporary Art involved in different aspects of exhibition and preservation of works of art.
Consequently, a demand for highly qualified specialists in various areas has emerged, especially in the conservation field, but also in other matters related to exhibition, due to the specific problems that Contemporary Art entails.
SCIENTIFIC INTEREST

The Master CYXAC, has been designed primarily to educate and train researchers in two areas: historical and documentary (desk study, factual and procedural investigation) and material research, that is, physical, chemical and biological, and experimental investigation, all of them related to, and aimed at the conservation of works of Contemporary Art.
Material research (physical, chemical, biological and experimental) focuses on the study of the various components of works of art and the agents and causes of their deterioration. It allows to progress in the development of new media and new systems for conservation,.
It is undeniable the interest of the conservation activities nowadays , since it is clear that there is an urgent need to preserve Contemporary Art because of its historic and cultural importance as one of the Cultural Goods that conform our Heritage

The training provided by master CYXAC enables the students with a solid, specialized and recognized training that will specialize them in the fields of Conservation, Art History and the Contemporary Art exhibition, allowing their entry into new professional fields.

PROPONER HIPÓTESIS BASADAS EN LA OBSERVACIÓN DE LOS DATOS Y EN INVESTIGACIONES ANTERIORES EN RELACIÓN AL ESTUDIO HISTÓRICO DOCUMENTAL Y MATERIAL DEL ARTE CONTEMPORÁNEO.
CAPACIDAD DE ANÁLISIS Y SÍNTESIS, DE ORGANIZACIÓN Y PLANIFICACIÓN, Y DE GESTIÓN DE LA INFORMACIÓN.
MOTIVACIÓN POR LA CALIDAD, CONOCIMIENTOS DE INFORMÁTICA RELATIVOS AL ÁMBITO DE ESTUDIO, Y NIVEL ADECUADO EN COMUNICACIÓN ORAL Y ESCRITA.
